Jazmyne Askew is a political scientist, writer, philanthropist, and truth-teller born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia. A proud graduate of Virginia State University and devoted member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., she is deeply committed to community empowerment, social equity, and storytelling that heals. Her work lives at the intersection of faith, generational restoration, and Black womanhood — offering voice to the quiet struggles too many carry alone.

As a single mother to Carmyne and a six-year homeowner, Jazmyne knows what it means to build stability out of survival. Through both her words and her philanthropic efforts, she creates space for others to rise, reminding women that they are seen, worthy, and never too far gone to begin again.
